Description
With the movement towards more inclusive classrooms, paraeducators provide day-to-day support for students with special needs. Paraeducators play a valuable role in meeting students’ needs. The EGACE 72-hour Paraeducator Training program covers:
1. The Roles and Responsibilities of Paraeducators
2. Introduction to Early Childhood Education
3. Mandated Reporter
4. Working with English Language Learners
5. Behavior Intervention
6. Disability Categories
7. Making Modifications
8. Classroom Management
9. Paraeducator Testing Requirements
12-weeks/72 -hours
Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:30-8:30 pm

English Language Learners!
ESL students can co-enroll in English Language Development and Work Skills for the Paraeducator! This class focuses on the vocabulary, writing and communications skills that a Paraeducator will use in the classroom.
