Sacramento ESL Program (SESL) is a small 501(c)3 educational non-profit organization dedicated to serving speakers of other languages located in an area in South Sacramento designated a "Promise Zone" by the Obama administration in 2016. Three evening classes are offered: a Literacy-Low Beginning level class Monday through Wednesday 6:30 to 9:00pm, a High Beginning-Low Intermediate class Monday through Wednesday 6:30 to 9:00, and a Conversation class offered on Thursdays, 6:30 to 8:30pm. The cost is $25 for language classes. Conversation class students pay $10 per month if they are not in the Monday through Wednesday language classes. If they are regularly attending the ESL classes, the Conversation class is free, without cost to students.
